We are Housing Families First. Our name perfectly captures our mission. We center everything we do around families and want to be the first and best option to support their transition from homelessness to a permanent home.

Housing Families First believes everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home. We provide a continuum of housing services for families with children and young adults experiencing homelessness throughout the Greater Richmond region. From homelessness prevention and emergency shelter to rapid rehousing and long-term stability, our programs help participants overcome barriers, secure permanent housing, and build a stronger future. By combining compassionate support with individualized case management, we empower families and youth to achieve lasting housing stability and thrive.
